This is very likely the beat of the three animated movies about coexistence between dragons and people. Hiccup (Jay Baruchel) befriends a dragon. This is unheard of in Viking society. But he learns from the dragon, and consequently is able to pass his dragon school training as top of the class. Most importantly he learns that dragons are not the vicious enaces all though them to be. His father uses his dragon to find the dragon lair, and bites off more than he can chew, but hiccup, his dragon, and his friends come to the rescue. Astrid (America Ferrera) is ghe girl that likes Hiccup and restores his cofidence when he is down.
