Its The Great Pumpkin Charlie Brown (Full Episode)

This is a Charlie Brown Special focusing on Halloween and Linus.  Of course it has all the characters, including Snoopy chasing the Red Baron, and getting shot down, Charlie Brown, who only gets rocks, Lucy who is embarrassed by her brother, Linus, who believes in the Great Pumpkin and gives up his halloween waiting for its arrival, Sally, who loves Linus enough to wait for the Great Pumpkin with him, and Schroeder, whose music touches the emotions, as Snoopy demonstrates.
Loved this show as a kid, and still love it.

TV Movie Review: ****A Charlie Brown Thanksgiving (1973)

When Peppermint Patty, Marcie and Francis invite themselves over for Thanksgiving Dinner. Charlie Brown is in a pickle because they are going to Grandmother's house for Thanksgiving.  Who can tell Peppermint Patty anything, she just talks and never listens.  Charlie Brown puts together the dinner with Snoopy's help; But they only know how to cook toast and popcorn.  Peppermint Patty is pretty disappointed and her feelings spill over.  However, in the end grandmother saves the day.
The cutest scene in this story is the fight between snoopy and the lawn chair.  It is very classic. 

TV Review: Lucy Must Be Traded, Charlie Brown (2003)

Lucy Must Be Traded, Charlie Brown (2003) This is another Charlie Brown look at baseball created by Charles Schultz.  It has some very cute vignettes, which leads to a good presentation.  Tony and I like Charlie Brown.  For opening day the have Woodstock instead of 100 pigeons.  Lucy is Charlie Brown’s worse fear.  There she is in right field, and she cannot catch.  Lucy doesn’t have a clue some times.    He wants to trade Lucy, but Peppermint Patty only wants Snoopy.  The trade is made for four good players, Charlie Browns trades his own dog.  He then has buyer’s remorse, and luckily none of the four will change teams, so Peppermint Patty calls the deal off.  However the trade right fielders, Lucy for Violet—but neither of them our happy so they trade back.  Everyone is where they belong.  Charlie Brown’s team loses every game, as it should be.

Music Review: A Charlie Brown Christmas: Vince Guaraldi Trio

This is the original sound track recording of the CBS television special.  Vince Guaraldi arranged or wrote most of the music.  It is performed by piano, bass and drum.  The music throughout has a Jazz feel, and is all instrumental except for "Christmas Time is Here" and  "Hark the Herald Angels Sing" sung by the Peanuts children.  I really enjoy the music, and it has a very catchy rhythm.   "Linus and Lucy" is a classic.  This song sets your blood moving.  This is the music most associated with this presentation.  Even Miranda likes to play it.  the movement in the bass hand of the piano is just cool.  Another song that moves is "Skating".  I must admit, the middle of the music gets a bit lengthy; of course this is because just listening to the music, you don't have the animated action to watch.

Christmas Movie Review: **** I Want a Dog for Christmas, Charlie Brown:

**** I Want a Dog for Christmas, Charlie Brown: This is very fun as Rerun is determined to get a dog for Christmas.  Charlie Brown will not sell Snoopy, but he does let Rerun play with Snoopy.  However Rerun writes to Snoopy's brother Spike, and asks him to be his dog.  Spike lives in the desert.  Spike visits, and Lu cy fattens him up.  But their mother will not let him stay.  Rerun enjoys their time together, and agrees to continue writing, but Spike goes back to the desert.  I enjoyed this movie as the characters were fresh.  We met Snoopy's family.  We also explore the importance of belonging and being wanted.  Also we see Charlie Brown's love for Snoopy.

Christmas Animated Movie: ***Charlie Brown's Christmas Tales

  This is a bunch of shorts, with no real plot. Sometimes a couple shorts go together, but never more than three.  This means lots of different little humorous shorts, much like a cartoon.  It introduced me to Rerun, the younger brother of Linus and Lucy.  He confronts Santa Claus about not getting what he wanted.  Santa Claus (Snoopy) just croaks.  Lucy does not appreciate Snoopy skating with her, and when he licks her it is even worse.  There a a few Schroeder and Lucy scenes.  Schroeder does not give in to her advances.  There are plenty of notes to Santa with different approaches, from Linus's, "skip our house," to Lucy's, "I've been perfect."  Snoopy enjoys the cookies left for Santa Claus.  This is a fun movie.

TV Special Review: *** "It's Christmastime Again, Charlie Brown (1992)

Same Peanuts characters with a few new ones, but not the same pizazz.  Story is only mildly amusing and is mostly a forum for Peanuts Comic Strip lines.  Snoopy is good as Santa Claus, and Charlie Brown trying to explain to Sally that Christmas is more than getting.  Woodstock and his friends are fun.

Christmas Movie Review: **** "A Charlie Brown Christmas"

 This is a movie I grew up with.  It is an animated Christmas special featuring the Peanuts characters.  It came out in 1965, when I was eight.  Through my teen year the group of kids I hung with had a thing for Charlie Brown.  We would share his comics before school as the bus landed us a few minutes early.  This is one of those shorts I have enjoyed my entire life.  Before video, I would look forward to the showing of this every year, and always try not to miss it.  I love when they sing "Hark the Herald Angels Sing."  It makes me tingle.  I love Schroeder's music.  And I love Linus reciting the Christmas story.  This is a movie that makes Christmas season better.

TV Movie Review: ****It's an Adventure Charlie Brown

This is a delightful little bit available through Instant Netflix. It doesn't have any real plot, but shows numerous humorous short stories.  Reminds me of when we were younger, my friends and I would get a Peanuts book and read it together on the stair landing at South Cache Junior High School.  This reminds me of those times, and it is very fun.  Charlie Brown coaches a younger team, he is elected president at summer camp, Lucy tries to get rid of Linus' blanket, but Snoopy keeps bringing it back.  There are numerous other funny bits.  It made me smile.
