This is titled on YouTube "A Christmas Carol: A New Musical." I find this to be the most entertaining, moving and emotional version of this story that I have seen. It was written by Keith Ferguson and Bruce Greer. This is a December 2011 performance of the First Baptist, Carrollton, TX.
This production captures the true meaning of Christmas, and it puts Jesus into the story, where he belongs for He is the meaning of Christmas. This production does this in many ways. It reminds us Christmas is not only a holiday, it is a holly day. It has Tiny Tim and Bob Crachit at church where the Christmas story is told.
It uses traditional carols throughout, and this adds to the story. Finally, it shows the repentance of Scrooge, on his knees. It is in prayer, working with God and the Savior that we find true forgiveness and repentance. "Though your sins be as scarlet, yet shall they be as whit as snow."
I cannot recommend this performance enough. I only complaint was that just before Marley makes his entrance, it seems to be a bit overdone. Too many lights or something.
