Movie Review: ***Brigham Young
This is an entertaining story, but not very well historical. This movie is a Hollywood production, not a Church production. Even with the inaccuracies, it does tell a very good story of faith and perseverance in the West. However it wasn't easy, and then shows through more than anything. Vincent Price portrays Joseph Smith, Dean Jagger, Brigham Young, John Carradine, Porter Rockwell. A fictional family, Jonathan Kent and Zina Webb are played by Tyrone Power and Linda Darnell. An interesting tidbit is that Dean Jagger converted to Mormonism after the movie. The movie sometimes focuses too much polygamy, but the story is well done.
