Scrooge is very scary and very grouchy in this animated version. It makes me think it may have been inspiration for Jim Carrey and his Scrooge. Scrooge is so evil at the beginning this makes his transformation even more remarkable. This version wants to be a musical at times, and has the nephew singing, as well Scrooge. However Scrooge does not visit the nephew in the end, but spends Christmas with the Crachetts. I missed the nephew getting another chance at Scrooge. There is a bit in this one about Scrooge not being able to sneeze and clear his sinuses. It was unneeded bluff.
