Christmas Movie Review: Our First Christmas
This is a 2008 made-for-TV Christmas movie. It shows the effects of a combined family having their first Christmas, when both sets of children want things to continue in the way they have been in the past, and that changing would be disrespecting the deceased parent on both sides. One side has to give up their Christmas traditions so the other can have theirs. The children have a plan. If they are mopey enough, then they will all get their way by being split up for Christmas. But when it comes down to it, the children want to be together for Christmas, but didn't communicate this very well. So grandma (Dixie Carter) leaves feeling they are holding on to the past for her. However grandpa (John Ratzenberger) on the other side is falling for her. Turns out the children having been selfish is ruining Christmas for everyone. Or has it?
