Christmas Movie Review: **^Ernest Saves Christmas
This is a cute little show to highlight the talents of Jim Varney. It does this by letting him be his goofy self, but also letting him dress in disguise on a couple of occasions to expand his talents. The plot was rather thin. Santa has to find a new Santa because over time his magic is wearing down. Put in the reindeer arriving at the airport, the new Santa being reluctant not really believing, young woman who takes off with Santa's bag, and Ernest bringing the sleigh, and you have the makings of a train wreck, and the destruction of Christmas. This movie was mostly cute, by I didn't get the destruction of Vern's house. It had no place in the plot at all. But Varney was very talented.
