In Theaters: ***^Nancy Drew and the Hidden Staircase (2019)

Nancy Drew and the Hidden Staircase  (2019)  The thing that makes or breaks a movie such as this is the characters.  Fortunately Nancy Drew (Sophia Lillis) is very likeable, as are her best friends (Zoe Renee and Mackenzie Graham), and her new who use to be an enemy, Hannah (Andrea Anders).  And who would have thunk the villain would turn out to be who he turns out to be.  Great twist.  Fun!  And no, pranking someone, even in the name of revenge is never cool.  I am glad Nancy realizes this before the end of the movie.
